Hello, I’m Anna
Wishing you a warm welcome to my website.
As you navigate your way, you can learn more about me and my therapeutic practice, services I offer and ways that you can make contact if you would like to explore working together.
Thank you for visiting.
About me…
I am a psychotherapist, working with children, young people and adults in person in my private practice in Mickleover, Derby, remotely across the UK, alongside my other working roles in Derby city as a psychotherapist.
My practice is…
-Collaborative and co-created with my clients- we journey together
-Rooted in the relational
-Developmental and trauma-informed
-Humanistic and existential
-Neuro-affirming and inclusive
-Multi-modal- with Play and creative invitation, specialism in sand tray, and narrative therapy
I offer long term and short term input. I support clients by offering a space to focus on specific areas, or to sit with and discover, in a safe impartial space.
Areas I support clients with include; navigating self-identity, self-esteem/self-worth, loss and transition, navigating relationships, trauma, stress, mood/anxiety, work/education.
My values…
I value human beings, self-awareness, personal identity and growth, relationships and the power of the therapeutic relationship.
I am neurodivergent. Providing a neuro-affirming, inclusive therapeutic space with lived experience is integral to my self and practice.
I weave my values into my therapeutic practice. How I work is representative of who I am as a person in all of my dimensions and chapters of experience.
Background…
I have been working in helping roles with children, young people and adults for over 20 years, with a background in the charitable sector, education, early help and social care.
Before my Psychotherapy training, I completed BA and MA degrees in Philosophy, specialising in continental philosophy. I went on to undertake my therapy training, with adults and then specialist training to work with children and young people, play and creative therapies and dyadic parent-child therapy.
Outside of my therapeutic practice, I enjoy time with my family, being in nature, and creative projects.
I have a deep passion for continuing professional development and learning, continuing to build on my foundation and values. As I grow, my therapeutic practice grows.
